Pfest Park Projects

Proceeds from Deutschen Pfest are used for park improvements across Pflugerville. Below is a list of some of those projects totaling $404,341.

  • Pflugerville Heights and Black Locust park improvements.
  • Dog Park in Pfluger Park.
  • Additional electrical enhancements at Pfluger Park.
  • Replace playscape at North Park
  • Amenities for Pflugerville Heights Park.
  • Trail Improvement along Gilleland Creek (between Swenson Farms and N Heatherwilde)
  • Pfluger Park playscape and wooden gazebo replacement.
  • Environmental education project (interpretive signage).
  • Additional electrical enhancements at Pfluger Park.
  • Amenity improvements at Pfluger and Gilleland Creek Parks.
  • Shade canopy installed over the existing playscape in Gilleland Creek Park.
  • Playground gravel in Pfluger Park was replaced with wood fiber mulch.
  • New water fountains and trash receptacles were added to both Gilleland Creek and Pfluger Park.
  • Trail connection from Bohls House to the green red barn.
  • Enhanced electric system at Pfluger Park.
  • Bankshot basketball court.
  • Gilleland Pavilion electric repairs.
  • Dpfest float redesign and construction.
  • Purchase a mobile stage for special events including Deutschen Pfest and Music in the Park.
  • Help construct a sidewalk to connect the Cambridge Estates subdivision to the Recreation Center.
  • Heritage Park – Fence surround the park constructed and upgrades made to drainage within the park.
  • Heritage Park bathroom at the Green Red Barn.
  • Trail signage.
  • Resurface floor at Recreation Center.
