It’s time to grab your bike and favorite costume and prepare your entry in the children’s parade at the annual Deutschen Pfest. The Children’s parade begins at the corner of Main Street and Railroad and heads west a few blocks to third street and allows children an opportunity to participate in the Deutschen Pfest Parade without the long walk. The parade begins at approximately 10:45 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and Railroad, and the children’s parade leads the main parade into main street. Children decorate bikes, wagons and themselves and come walk in costume down the street. Awards are given for best German theme, most decorative wagon/bicycle, most creative entry, and youngest participant. Area school classes, individuals and families are encouraged to participate. Be creative. We request that you not use motorized vehicles in the children’s parade.
Participants report to the parking lot at Wordyisms on Railroad Ave. by 10:30 a.m. for judging. (Please access Railroad Avenue from Pecan Street) Children lead off the parade by leading down the short strip of Main Street. Parents are welcome to join their child or wait at the end of the street. Come one, come all and keep Pflugerville traditions alive.
