The Deutschen Pfest parade is on Saturday, May 19 and features Senior Judge Dan Mills as parade Grand Marshal. The parade runs from Pfennig Southbound to Railroad Avenue and travels down to Main Street. The parade begins at 10:45 a.m. and the children’s parade, a shorter route through downtown Pflugerville, begins at 11:30 a.m. Come out to watch local high school marching bands, community organizers and floats of all kinds.

Judge Mills was raised in Pflugerville, graduated from Pflugerville High School, attended the University of Texas at Austin and then attended the University of Houston law school. His father, Conway R. Mills, worked for the City of Pflugerville as town secretary from 1965-1982.

Judge Mill’s legal experience includes the City of Austin, the Texas Attorney General’s office and he also worked for the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. In 2005, Judge Mills was appointed to be the first judge of the newly created 424th District court for Blanco, Llano and San Saba counties. Currently he is designated as a Senior Judge and hears cases to serve by the Presiding Judge of the Third Administrative Region.
